Ok, so most exciting news - I got to see WICKED! I had never seen a broadway show before, and I've been wanting to see Wicked in particular for so long! We got tickets for pretty cheap, and about six of us went. It was at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London, and it was so incredible! Everything about the show was absolutely amazing! AND rumour has it that I just might be seeing Les Mis in a couple weeks :) England2012NoRegretz.

Oh, and it snowed again! Some photographs of the occasion...
So...with cabin fever, we all have had some interesting ideas of how to entertain ourselves...
- Fun fact, if you try to coat a snowball in hand sanitizer and light it on fire, the results are quite anticlimactic...
- I have learned that there is a feat of strength that women are naturally better at than men, it seems. A girl can stand at a 90 degree angle with her head to the wall, lift up a chair, and stand in an upright position, easy right? For the men, it proved more difficult...
So there's that! Also, this past week was the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens, so at the famous Blackwell's bookshop, I bought myself some of Eliot's poetry and received a Dickens book for free :)
Last bit of news...
It's quite sad that they don't exactly have Mexican food here, but the closest they come is a place called Mission Burrito. Think...the British Chipotle. Here might be my chicken burrito bowl.
Not bad, England...however, your "very spicy" is our "mild." We can work on that.
Alright, so that was a pretty elaborate and random post, but that's what my week has consisted of! It's been chilly weather, difficult homework, and Oxfordian craziness. To leave on an awesome note, this week Tim Keller came and spoke at Oxford's "This is Jesus" week, where people were encouraged to come and hear about the basics of Christianity from an academic perspective. I didn't get a chance to go to any of the sessions, but I heard they were amazing, and God seems to be doing amazing work here! I'm convinced this is incredibly important because young people here look at Christianity as being completely foolish - it doesn't make sense logically, and they see it as nonsense. It's so great, though, because these are some of the brightest and intellectual students in England! It's such a great reminder for me that the God that works at home is the same God that is working in these students' lives :) Praise God!
If you think of it, please continue to pray for my rest, strength, and endurance as I try not to stress out about school! This next week I'm studying and writing on Narnia, so it'll be a lot of reading in a short amount of time and, though it's great reading, it's much to get done and study before my session!
I love you all!
